Compose has a new Look layer, which applies a film look to every layer beneath it, with controls for strength, halation and grain. There are 20 looks in six families, from Warm and Cinema to Black and white. A mask limits a look to part of the image.
Generator layers can now be a solid color, Studio background, Aurora or Plasma as well as a mesh gradient, shaped as a rounded rectangle or an ellipse. A generator layer can also be used as a mask.
New effects range from distortions such as Twirl, Kaleidoscope and Polar coordinates to stylized looks such as Engraving, CRT screen, VHS and Watercolor, and photo effects such as Light leak, Tilt shift and Film stock. Drop shadow joins the adjustments, and Pixel sort adds a Sorted style.
