Nodes

Build a generation as a graph of connected nodes, run it step by step, and save it as a workflow to reuse.

Nodes (beta) lays out a generation as a graph: inputs on the left, mode nodes that generate in the middle, previews at the end. Use it to chain steps, such as generating an image, editing it and turning it into a video, then run the whole chain again with new inputs.

Open a result in Nodes

Right-click an asset in any gallery and choose Open in Nodes. Nodes rebuilds the graph that produced it, with its inputs, prompt and settings, so you can change one step and run it again.

The action is not offered for uploads, Compose scenes, or results made from the Image tab’s References input. When an asset has no graph to rebuild, Nodes opens a read-only view of it instead.

Build a workflow

  1. Add nodes

Click Add Node in the toolbar, or press Tab to open a searchable menu at the cursor. Press A for an Asset node and N for a Note. You can also drag assets in from the gallery (G), or drop image, video and audio files from your computer.

  2. Connect them

Drag from an output to an input. Only compatible ports connect. Drop a wire on an empty spot to add a node that fits it: if only one kind fits, it is created and connected at once; otherwise the menu opens with the nodes that fit.

  3. Set each step

Click a node to see it in the Properties panel on the right. For a mode node, that is where you choose the model and its options. The node itself shows the main ones, such as ratio, duration and batch.

  4. Run

Click Execute to run the graph. Results appear in the Preview nodes and in your gallery.

Node types

Node What it does
Prompt A prompt. Type @ to insert a snippet.
Snippet One snippet, to feed a prompt or a template field.
Asset Input An image, video or audio file from the gallery or your computer.
Mode Processors One node per mode: Image Gen, Image Edit, Video Gen, Video Edit, Upscale, Previz Gen, Swap, Avatar Generator, Music and Voice. Each has the settings of that mode in Create.
Template Runs a template, from the Mode Processors menu. It works as Image Gen or Image Edit, depending on whether the template has image fields.
Preview Shows the results of the node connected to it.
Description Holds a generated description as text you can connect to other nodes.
Variable A list of values for a @variable in a prompt. Each value becomes one job. Paste a list to add one value per line.
Batch Input Several images. Each image becomes one job.
Color, Multi Color A color, or a palette, for a template’s color fields.
Note A note on the canvas. It does not run.
Compose Template Created when you drop a saved Compose scene that has template slots. Each slot becomes an input.

The Video Gen node does not offer the Keyframes sub-mode. Use Video in Create for keyframes.

Run part of a graph

  • Each mode node has its own run button: Run this node and everything before it. The node shows the credits for its step, and the button shows the cost of the whole chain up to it.
  • Disable node skips a step without deleting it. Enable node turns it back on.
  • Steps that have not changed since the last run are not run again. When nothing has changed, the button reads No Changes. Change an input, or switch a seed to Random, to run again.
  • Each mode node has its own seed. Click it to switch between Fixed and Random. Shift+click a fixed seed to pick a new one.

Save and share workflows

  • Save (Ctrl/Cmd+S) stores the graph as a workflow, with a name and a category. Saving under an existing name offers Overwrite or Save as New. In a team workspace, only the Owner can save workflows.
  • Load opens the Workflows library. Search it, filter it by category, and add tags to find workflows later.
  • Each workflow opens in its own tab. The + button adds a tab, up to 10.
  • Export downloads the graph as a PNG with the workflow embedded: its structure and text, without the assets. Drop that PNG into Nodes to load the workflow again.
  • Screenshot downloads an image of the graph, cropped, on a transparent background.
