Share gathers assets into shared folders so you can show them to people outside your workspace. Each folder can have a public link: anyone who has it can view the folder in a browser, without a Hylope account.
Create a shared folder
Choose a project
Shared folders belong to a project. Pick the project the folder is for, in the sidebar or in the header. With All Projects selected, you can browse shares but not create a folder.
Create the folder
Click New folder above the grid and name it. Open the folder and click New folder again to add a subfolder, for example one per round or per deliverable. Subfolders go one level deep.
Add assets
Press G to open the gallery, then drag assets into the folder. When you drop several assets at once on the main area, Share creates a new folder for them.
An asset in a shared folder keeps its status and gets a Shared badge in the Gallery.
To tidy a folder, select assets and use Move to put them in another folder, or Remove to take them out of Share. Include subfolders shows the assets of every subfolder in one view.
Share the link
Select a shared folder to see its Share settings on the right.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Public link | Turns the link on or off. When it is on, anyone with the link can view the folder and its subfolders. Copy copies it. |
| Downloads | Lets viewers download the files. |
| Social preview image | Generates the image shown when the link is posted in a chat or on social media. It only changes when you click Regenerate. It is not available while a password is set. |
| Password | Asks viewers for a password before they see anything. |
| Expiration | Off, the link does not expire. On, it expires after 7, 30 or 90 days. |
These settings apply to the top shared folder and all its subfolders. Only the workspace Owner and members with Creator access to the project can change them. Other members see the link, if there is one, but not the settings.
Turning the link off stops the share page. Files a viewer already opened from it can remain reachable.
What viewers see
The link opens a page with the folder’s assets and subfolders. Viewers can open each asset.
With Downloads on, they can also download one file, a selection, a folder as a ZIP, or everything with Download all.
